2nd line Application Support

The Role:
The client is after a support analyst who has had some experience with a programming language (java, .net, PHP or even HTML), even if it was at university to work as part of their application support team.
You will be providing application support on any issues escalated to you from the helpdesk.
Ideally you would be interested in trouble shooting applications and have the ambition to one day become a Developer.

Skills Wanted:
Proven experience in a support environment delivering second line support across various systems to end users both face to face and remotely (essential)
Proven Knowledge of programming/scripting in order to be able to resolve issues that have arisen within a programme (essential)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal (essential)
Proven experience of working within an ITIL environment (desirable)
Proven Experience of Windows platforms including configuration (desirable)
Good understanding of SQL Server or Oracle database management systems (desirable)
