Data Architect - Warwickshire
My client is a highly transactional, data driven organisation who are looking to bring a Data Architect to build, architect and lead deployment of a firm data strategy.
Currently the business is built upon a cross of Oracle and SQL BI technologies and as part of this role there will be the need to look at both current state architecture and strategy later leading to the build of a future state.
Beyond this, the business is driven almost exclusively by its online platform and data set, so the need to consider MDM and potential Big Data solutions in the future will be key; this is not a necessary piece of experience but is something which candidates will need to be progressive enough to pick up in the future.
This is a brand new role for the organisation and the right candidate should be comfortable coming into an environment where they would own all Data and Information and solutions to manage this; MDM, Metadata, Big Data etc
The Data Architect will not just be driven to manage the current data/information but also take ownership for the introduction of new practices and technologies in the future; as such there is an allowance for blue sky research throughout the year.
Key skills
* At least 4 years of experience as a Data Architect
* Have strong architecture knowledge across the full data life cycle from ETL to reporting to Data Warehousing.
* Be able to provide data governance
* Have knowledge of Microsoft and Oracle products.
* Familiarity with Analytics and visualisation tools
As this is a new role the package and salary available is fairly flexible with salary sitting between £55,000 and £70,000/annum + bonus + benefits.
