Solutions Infrastructure Architect - Cisco - Security - Server - Storage - Virtualisation - Telephony.
A well established organisation based in Manchester City Centre are looking to on board an experienced Solutions Infrastructure Architect to define the target technology infrastructure and future estate as part of their Global remit moving forward.
You will have responsibility for the definition and communication of the Infrastructure Architecture Blueprint including core Technology across Servers, Networks, Security, Performance and Availability as well as defining the Service, (Quality of Service, Capacity Planning and Business Continuity), views.
You will provide the vision moving forward for the organisation, provisioning a new multilayered platform and being responsible for the definition of the Technology Infrastructure Strategy, along with providing enterprise infrastructure governance.
The successful candidate will have practicing experience of Servers, Networks (MPLS, IPVPN, TCP/IP, DNS, LANs, WANs & Wireless), Storage (SAN), Virtualisation (VMWare) and cloud computing. You will also have commercial experience of providing technology architecture at an enterprise view, along with practicing experience of CISCO CPE/Data Centre switching protocols and Firewalls.
Key Skills:
- Capability to take requirements and transform into High scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of High Availability, Capacity Management and Disaster Recovery Approaches.
- Good Knowledge of Security standards and protocols.
- Exposure from a global perspective will look favourable, understanding how designs will be
implemented in a variety of countries.
- Experience of Telephony, VOIP (Variant and CISCO Voice).
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (QoS), Help/Service Desk (ITIL)
- Ability to create Infrastructure Architecture Blueprints and Technology Roadmaps.
- CCIE, CCNA, DJCP qualifications would be preferred
