Market Risk, Business Analyst sought by my City based, Tier 1 Investment Banking client for an initial 6 months contract.
Job description
Work with the Market Risk project process covering all business aspects of the process from requirements gathering through implementation.
Be responsible for the relationship with business users and off shore delivery teams.
Be responsible for requirement gathering and business analysis
Produce functional requirements specification documents using formal modelling methodologies (use cases, process flow diagrams, etc.)
Ensure that specific project deliverables are produced on time in accordance with the project plan and make sure that all relevant parties are informed of progress.
Maintain a quality control process and ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
Manage the execution of policy statements and all standards derived from them.
Manage risks and issues for a project’s successful outcome.
Report project progress at regular intervals to senior management and produce key documentation for distribution.
Together with the Technical Analyst perform a detailed low level evaluation of development effort estimates that are provided by vendors.
Enhance/improve the delivery process of Market Risk projects.
Qualifications
Degree level qualification.
Substantial experience as a Business Analyst within an Investment Banking domain
Experience of Market Risk, Front Office Risk or similar area is a core requirement
Experience of working within a full project life cycle from initiation through to implementation, experience of working with a project management methodology would be an advantage
Experience of liaison with other departments (i.e. Business units, Infrastructure teams, Audit) across multiple countries
Experience in working with remote client and vendor resources
Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems
Vendor management experience
