Email Campaign Executive

This is a hands-on marketing role reporting into the Head of Customer Journey & Retention, responsible for managing and developing the Company's email marketing plans, calendar and database, successfully building and deploying email campaigns across the business.This will include the coordination, customer selection, building and deployment of selected marketing emails and newsletters as well as the improvement of key metrics for all emails, liaising with internal resources, external agencies and the Commercial teams.OpportunityThe Email Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the Operations, Sales and Marketing channels; building and managing regular and ad hoc campaign email activity across the group· Plan and implement the on-going production of regular emails and newsletters for both prospect conversion and customer retention, transaction, up-sell, cross-sell and brand management activity· To support the implementation of digital campaigns on the l websites through email marketing· Be responsible for email building including template and content redevelopment in both WISIWYG editor and HTML· Proactively manage building, testing, analysing and optimising of emails· Ensure all emails are tracked effectively and feed- back results to Stakeholders in digestible and timely manner· Support the development of email distribution in conjunction with newly implemented email and CRM systems· Manage and develop email preference centre, segmentation strategy and email for mobile· Communicating and coordinating with agency and internal customers to resolve email delivery and other issues, improve email design, meet deadlines and ensure best practice· Testing of emails, maximising inbox deliverability, minimising unsubscribe and complaint rates and monitoring bounce rates· Setting and enforcing email policies· Maintaining email KPI reports of messaging and spam statistics· Staying up to date with improvements in email communications technology and database marketing activity· Analysing and improving email communications contact strategyKey Responsibilities- Production of all email marketing activity- Integration of email with social media- Working with other digital tools; social media, analytics, website CMS, CRM and mobile- Build all emails in Text and HTML ensuring adherence to usability, accessibility and email best practice guidelines- Maintain job bags, ensuring all processes followed and any new pages/sites are fully checked at each stage of the publishing process and fully compliant- Ensure that any email activity is in line with brand guidelines and fits with the overall Digital strategy- Maintain high open and click rates whilst reducing the bounce and unsubscribe rate- Define and put in place best practice for email marketing- Optimise, evolve and manage the creation of new email templates that meet the specific needs of different audience group and campaign objectives, by working together with the Digital team to define requirements.- Provide campaign reporting by setting up automated reports as well as bespoke advanced reports.- Manage clients` data protection and privacy, including being responsible for managing Informed Consent from end users.- Manage the company`s reputation by ensuring marketing emails are not blacklisted, and provide remedial measures when they are- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements as well as technological developments- Ensure integrity of email designs across all relevant email software, and be responsible for testing- Assist in the integration of email marketing system with CRM, web analytics and other tools as part of on-going innovation.Experience must include: Advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word skills and experience of CRM systems. SQL and HTML experience a plus.QualificationsDegree-level (or equivalent) skills required. The right candidate will have good database marketing experience and experience in managing email marketing campaigns using CRM tools. They will be able to deal with pressure under tight deadlines with excellent prioritisation and organisational capabilities. They will be a strong problem-solver with excellent communication and presentation skills and be committed to quality and accuracy with an eye for detail.
