A well established and leading hospitality group are currently going through extensive growth after a very successful 2012. To aid this growth the organisation are keen to further recruit across the Technology function with the appointment of an Infrastructure Manager. The role is to plan, organise and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stability of the organisations IT infrastructure. This will include the development, maintenance, support and optimisation of key functional areas such as the network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications and telecommunications systems. The Infrastructure Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. To be considered for this role candidates will be well educated and have achieved industry recognisable qualifications focusing upon infrastructure and networking operations. A track record of managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence aswell as still being hands on regarding trouble shooting hardware issues will be essential. The organisation is heavily focused towards Microsoft although also has various Dell and HP focused hardware. The key technical requirements would include managerial and hands on abilities with Windows, Exchange, Sharepoint, Server Virtualisation, Cisco, WANS and LANS. A strong appreciation of disaster recovery processes would be advantageous. The ability to lead a team of 2-3 in size will be key aswell as will having the confidence and commercial ability to engage with and manage high profile third party suppliers will also be required. This role requires an individual who is a strong communicator, proven leadership skills and the ability to complete tasks on time and to budget. Due to the organisation operating almost a 24/7 operation it's imperative that a degree of flexibility is required including working weekends on occasions.
