An exceptional Systems Business Analyst is required to work within our clients’ IT Systems team, with responsibility to identify, manage and implement business efficiencies through the use of technology and process improvement within the business. The role is Birmingham based reporting directly to the IT Director, however will involve occasional travel throughout the UK.
Working closely with our Business Unit heads the main responsibilities include:
* Analyse and document business processes.
* Analyse existing systems and identify improvements based on above.
* Collecting, understanding and transmitting the business requirements for projects and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
* Document workflows and results of the business analysis and obtain sign-off from the various business owners.
* Provide the link between the Systems team and the Business Unit and any third party brought in during project lifecycle.
* Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts.
* Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
* Produce regular update reports for the business stake holders, showing progress against milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
* Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes.
* Demonstrable experience writing requirements specifications for information systems projects.
* A proven track record in managing Software Development projects.
* End to end experience of the project lifecycle.
* Proven experience interacting directly with senior management, end users and third parties.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good understanding of project methodologies.
* Ability to support users post go live.
