Progress Developer (3 month contract)

My Client, a large software house in Willerby are seeking an experienced software engineer/ Progress Developer to join a small motivated Agile SCRUM team based in our new Willerby office. The role will support the development and maintenance of a portfolio of established Practice and Case Management solutions that allow Legal firms to manage their IT needs, including: CRM; Accounts; Time Recording; Case Management; and third party integration.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake development tasks throughout the entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation and handover to meet agreed business needs to a high standard of quality. We are looking for confident, technically strong all-rounders with an attention for detail and the ability learn quickly on the job. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who thrives on the challenge of learning and working with a number of technologies.
Main Responsibilities:
Working with an Agile SCRUM framework, responsibilities will include:
· Software estimation, development, testing, demo and review
· Participation in SCRUM ceremonies
· Delivering commitments on time, to quality, in budget
· Tier 3 support as required
· Producing Internal documentation as required
· Timely and accurate reporting of project status to the Scrum Master
Experience:
Ideally we are seeking candidates with at least 5 years commercial software development experience, with exposure to some of the following:
· Progress 10.2b with ADM2/Dynamics
· Programming for AppServer
· Webspeed
· C# / VB.NET
· Roundtable / PVCS
· JIRA / Greenhopper
· Agile SCRUM
· Legal Domain knowledge
· VB6
· DELPHI
· Sculptor
· SQL.... VSS
