Exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join a global organisation in an expanding team during a time of significant change and transformation, with exposure to a broad range of business led initiatives, applications and technology infrastructure. Preferably with particular experience in delivering large scale software/application projects. Necessary- experience in delivering large scale software integration projects, managing a development team as part of a project, delivery focussed approach, delivering to tight timescales/under challenging circumstances. Preferable Industries- Retail, logistics, supply chain, FMCGRequirements· Extensive experience of end to end delivery responsibility · Thorough knowledge and experience of compliance and governance processes· Grounded in risk, issue and dependency management· Expert knowledge in project management tools and processes· Commercial awareness, knowledge of the business, awareness of impact to processes and benefit realisation· Exemplary communication skills at all levels and effective stakeholder management. · Able to evaluate and make recommendations on technical options as appropriate· Broad skills in IT and communications technology· Knowledge of relevant development and project life-cycles· Able to make swift and informed decisions with a thorough understanding of the situation, priorities and constraints· Able to understand hierarchy and culture of internal, 3rd party and client organisations, identifying key stakeholders· Able to track progress against agreed milestones and targets and able to resolve any arising issues· Proficient in effectively managing projects from initiation to implementation through methods such as PRINCE2· Experience of managing contracts to ensure suppliers adhere to agreed SLA's· Familiar with automated tools such as scheduling, resource balancing and time recording and tools for risk management. · Experience of methods/techniques to report progress and financial conformance against agreed plan and milestones. Responsibilities· Definition, documentation and execution of complex medium to large projects with active involvement in all stages of the project. Proactively assessing and managing risks, issues and dependencies in order to successfully deliver projects. · Effective estimation of costs, timescales and resource requirements. · Prepare and maintain sound project plans, delivering against agreed timescales and milestones while providing regular reports to key stakeholders. · Proactively managing any deviation from agreed timescales or resources.· Management of change control procedure.· Effective leadership and management of project team, building effective relationships and managing performance where necessary. Ensuring team is performing to the best of their abilities and developing capability. · Formally closing and reviewing projects, capturing and actioning lessons learnt.![]()
