Harvey Nash Finance are looking to recruit 2 talented ACA qualified (or equivalent) individuals who are perhaps looking for their first move into industry, on behalf our established and well respected client (Financial Services). You will be a key member of the organisation who is involved in liaising with the external auditors and also providing key insight and support to key figures across the finance teams including the Group Accountant, Finance Manager, Head of Finance and the Finance Director.
You will be responsible for the financial reporting of all statutory companies, ensuring that that all records are maintained with all income and expenditure being properly controlled within agreed authority levels.
Key responsibilities include :
Development and Delivery of Statutory and FSA returns
Liaise with HMRC and external auditors
Maintain an understanding of regulation changes and their effect on the reporting of accounts
Undertake specialist and technical analysis to act as a problem solver within the department
Undertake ad hoc projects as requested and representing the Finance team in cross-functional activities
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience of statutory reporting, ideally under IFRS and UK GAAP. The individual will be able to demonstrate a solid ability of analysing and interpreting data, and an ability to effectively communicate findings to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
