SAP FICO Consultant - Finance, FICO, FI/CO, BW, ABAP, XI, ALE, IDOC, BAPI
My Client, a leading Oil and Gas Organisation is currently looking for an SAP FICO Consultant to join the team in their trading division. The successful candidate will have worked on large scale SAP implementations and have an excellent understanding of FICO and/or BW as well as experience working in either a trading or investment banking environment.
Role Synopsis
The SAP Business Analyst will report to the Lead Analyst and is a key role in the Trade Completion and Accounting area. The SAP analyst will be responsible for providing the analysis and business liaison for technical solutions. The SAP Analyst provides support to the Lead Analyst to ensure deliveries against the SAP delivery plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship & Stakeholder Management:
· Support the Lead Analyst in managing the relationships with key stakeholders both within Integrated supply and trading (IST) (Finance, Front & Middle Office) and external to IST (ES, Functions).
· Deputize for the Lead Analyst as and when required.
Analysis and Design:
· Work closely with the Lead Analyst to perform analysis and design through a structured approach.
· Work with the project Business Analysis, Architecture and Development / Testing teams to understand system constraints / opportunities applicable to the Target Operating Model.
Capability:
· Build capability by identifying best practices and transferring knowledge to others.
Issue Resolution:
· Drive any key issues through to resolution with key stakeholders and other communities within the business and Information technology and services (IT&S).
Work Stream Support:
· Working with project managers and build teams to support the planning planning/oversight of project work streams.
Collaboration:
· Create improvement opportunities for IST IT&S by way of creating and maintaining collaborative working relationships with analysis peer groups across the Oil and Gas Transaction Pipes, as well as the business change teams within Oil/Gas.
Key Skills:
· Must have worked on large-scale SAP implementations.
· Knowledge of the FICO and/or BW modules.
· An understanding of end-to-end business processes, from both a people and systems perspective.
· Ability to communicate effectively and liaise on a technical level with analysts and developers and on a business level with end-users.
· Experience of interfaces including usage of IDOC and BAPI processing.
· ABAP programming knowledge and debugging skills.
· Experience in/awareness of SAP XI, ALE, & SAP User exit and enhancement transactions.
· Proven experience in managing internal client relationships.
· Self-motivated and self-starter - able to work with little supervision and pick up new or unfamiliar concepts quickly.
· Be a good communicator, able to deliver a message effectively and concisely at all levels including senior management.
· Be able to manage conflicting ideas and demands to provide clarity.
