Our client, one of Europe’s leading Insurance firms is currently seeking an Enterprise Architect to join their Applications Architecture team based in their West London technology hub.
Purpose of the role:
*Creates and maintains the standards, policies, best practices and rules surrounding applications, data and business intelligence architecture and disciplines.
*Looks to maximise and promote the synergies and opportunities to share and re-use across the businesses by utilising existing IS application and data assets, expertise and know-how thus reducing time to market and providing the best return on investment.
*Forms and manages the IT community and centre of excellence in application and data architecture matters providing link between MUs across the company worldwide.
*Establish, maintain and promote vision and future roadmaps for the firms applications, data and business intelligence activities.
*Provides IT application and data related expertise, support and guidance to the company business units across the globe in order to maximise the business value from the significant investments that the businesses make in application, data and business intelligence solutions.
Reporting in to the Head of Applications Architecture, they are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with the following experience…
*It is expected that job holder will have worked in a consultancy or consultancy like function and have good business knowledge as well as a wide knowledge of IT and IT markets.
*The job holder will have had a broad exposure to a wide range IT disciplines (architecture, design, development, data management, support etc.) and technologies, with considerable track record and experience on systems architecture, integration and design, and an encompassing understanding of IT operations and support
*Ideally experience in insurance, financial services and/or healthcare industries
*You will have a good knowledge of vertical market software (e.g. CRM, ERP, BPM packages etc.) and will be up to date with application technologies, development policies, standards, guidelines and methods (e.g. agile, TOGAF) as well as possessing a good knowledge of SOA, SaaS, Web2, Cloud computing etc.
*Expertise of.net, MS Dynamics and J2EE environments and a solid knowledge of Business intelligence technology and concepts.
