An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Project Delivery/ Head of Projects & Programmes to join a fantastic organisation based in Ealing, London.
The role will involve being responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing IT project initiatives within the organisation. The Head of Project Delivery is also responsible for the alignment of the technology vision with business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies.
Key accountabilities:
·Leadership of the Project Delivery Team/ Project Management Office/ IT Development.
·Engaging with stakeholders to plan, resource, manage, monitor and deliver project initiatives.
·Chair the project prioritisation committee and manage the project prioritisation process.
·Translate the three year strategy into a programme of works, including its tranches, governance structures, reporting and control arrangements, and how benefits realisation will be managed.
·Lead the development of strategies, blueprints and enterprise architecture for new or improved business capabilities
·Ensure compliance with regulation, governance and reporting obligations as well as equalities and diversity best practice.
·Manage risks and other issues, and resolve dependencies between projects.
·Manage the programme/ project budget
·Embed effective programme and project management methodologies and controls within the Business Systems Department and the wider company.
·Manage vendor relationships and manage the contracts.
Key skills:
·Experience of managing a project delivery team (developers, PMO, Project Manager's)
·Excellent project and programme management skills with seasoned experience of applying these skills throughout project and programme life-cycles.
·Significant experience of delivering projects using Agile & Prince 2 methodologies.
·Experience of establishing and delivering cultural and people change management through the delivery process.
·Experience of coordinating and running a modern development function with associated processes and standards.
·Experience of authoring strategies, business cases and reports capable of being well received at the very highest level of an organisation.
·Have a minimum of 5 years' experience operating at a similar level.
Salary up to £85,000.
