Senior Java Developer and Front End Developer - Investment Manager
Java, J2EE, Spring, TDD, BDD, JSP, CML, Hibernate, Maven
* Minimum 6 years experience as a Java JEE/ Front End programmer
* Solid background practising Agile methodologies - TDD/BDD
* Background in Financial Services or Asset Management
An opportunity has arisen for one Senior Java developer and a Front End developer to join a rapidly expanding team at a leading Investment Manager in the City.
You will be joining a team of outstanding technologists who are responsible for delivering technology innovation and providing the backbone of their latest integration frameworks.
Both skill-sets are required for the team but they are highly focusing on finding candidates who are a good team fit with a passion for using the latest technologies as this is an important time of transformation and innovation for the team.
You will come from a diverse background and be open and willing to be versatile and learn new technologies.
You will have a background in the following technologies:·
JEE, JSP, Servlets, Oracle, SQL, JavaScript, Groovy
· frameworks; Spring 3.0, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Tiles, jQuery, Grails·
automated build tools (Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, Nexus etc.)
· front end web technology - HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, DoJo etc
· Use of Object Oriented development methodologies and design patterns within a Service Oriented Architecture
Front End Developer role:·
Expert in JavaScript MVC/MV
· JavaScript libraries like jQuery, DoJo, Ext-JS or similar
· Great HTML5 and CSS skills, with knowledge of LESS and/or SASS
· AMD architecture (Require.js, Common.js)
· experience of WebSocket development (e.g. SocketIO, Sock.js, Kaazing)
· xperience of application frameworks such as Backbone, Spine, Angular
· Mobile-first development/design experience and knowledge
