Large client in the centre of Birmingham is looking for 2 new IT Development Managers to manage and provide a Software Development Service, delivering high quality, innovative, business focused IT Solutions, working in collaboration with the wider IT department and business.
You will get involved with the whole IT/Development environment, delivering and supporting major / minor projects; improving relationships; ensuring Dev teams operate within SLAs and the Change Management process; virtual/matrix manage Development teams; advocate of Development standards/Architecture; advise/influence Senior Management team, Lead Developers and Architects on changes to new/existing systems; conduct performance reviews and continually seek out process improvements.
To be successful in this role you will have a CV which shows you have experience of managing large Software Development teams (around 15 +), experience of matrix managing team of multi skilled Developers, the ability to challenge & present concepts, the ability to manage 3rd party or off-site teams, good understanding/experience of Software Development architectures/methodologies eg V-Model, AGILE, RAD, DevOps.
Bonus experience would include time spent in the Financial Services sector, and any technical/hands on experience of .NET, Oracle SOA, Oracle Database 11g.
