Mobile Project Manager
My client, a major media business, based in central London are on the lookout for a mobile delivery team lead.
The purpose of this role is to project manage delivery of six mobile apps to give mobile access to selected systems functionality by end July 2013.
The role will work to the SME Team Lead for Internal Mobile Delivery, and be responsible for the delivery of: six apps (HTML5), two native session authentication apps (iOS, Android), dev/test environments, and live environments and operating model.
This role will also act as a part-time developer in the team.
Role Responsibilities
Responsible for delivery of the deliverables
Managing the day-to-day effort of the team, and any supplier performance
Deliver the test/dev and live environments and operating model
Design, implement and manage the integrations required (using the mobile app provisioning platform that will be established)
Work as a part-time developer, together with the Team Lead and Java/Integration developer to develop and implement the six apps and the integrated provisioning
Work closely with other development SMEs and Lead Developers for other technologies (Java, SharePoint etc.)
Deliver a robust operating model to support the apps
Essential
*Considerable experience and knowledge of mobile development, including significant experience of hands on with both iOS & Android
*Significant Project Management experience
*Proven track record being part of the successful delivery of projects across the entire app life cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
*Experience of working directly with developers and product managers to design the architectures needed to create the tools for a mobile apps dev team
*Experience of working with front end developers to design the operating model for UIs, with a focus on simple, clean usability
*Significant, demonstrable experience of effective communications skills with a variety of stakeholders: both technical and non-technical
*In-depth knowledge of the project life cycle and structured project methodologies
*A flexible approach to working hours and the ability to travel
*Be aware of and include in designs, the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
