Client: A very Large Business Law Firm

Based out of the Manchester Office, but responsible for leading Infrastructure Support services nationally. This role is to lead, supervise and support the development of the Infrastructure Support Engineers to deliver an effective support service, ensuring that escalated incidents are resolved or diagnose the issues and escalate to the Infrastructure Solution Delivery Team Leader/Infrastructure Manager where appropriate.

Main Duties
To lead, coordinate and drive the delivery of an effective Infrastructure Support Service to the business and 3rd Line Team.
Effectively manage the handover of new IT Services/Technologies to 3rd Line and Service Desk. Manage all operational Infrastructure services : Backup, patching, daily maintenance, health checks, server utilisation, WAN utilisation, storage health checks, monthly reporting on outages and resource utilisation etc
Develop and manage a Firm wide monitoring solution for both virtual and physical estates, using applications such as SCOM and other 3rd Party monitoring tools.

Skills Needed:
detailed working knowledge of some or all of the following technologies:-
· SCOM or other monitoring technologies · Virtualised Environments
· Exchange Server 2003/2010 · Windows 2003/2008 Server
· Citrix · Enterprise Level Storage Technologies · Active Directory
· Disaster recovery · High availability · Backup methodologies, strategies and solutions
· IT Security (knowledge of BS7799/ISO27001) · SQL Server
· Microsoft System Centre
