Data Quality Analyst - Contract (2 Months Initially) - Bradford (West Yorkshire)
Purpose of the role:
The role requires an individual with significant experience in data management to analyse problems, identify and specify solutions and work with information professionals, data vendors and IT departments to improve data quality and implement change.
Your duties will also include but not limited to:
· Supporting the Data Governance Manager in establishing, and maintaining, robust data management, data governance and data quality functions in the organisation
· Responsibilities of metadata management, master data management (MDM), data quality management and information life-cycle management (ILM)
· Developing, managing and maintaining a suite of detailed data quality reports and data governance, including trend analysis of key data elements
· Supporting projects with data requirements, overseeing the design, testing and implementation of new data feeds
· Providing business commentary on trends, impacts and risks
Skills we are looking for:
· Experience of a DQ tool & familiarity of the FSCS SCV requirements (essential)
· Experience with data modelling tools, e.g. ERwin
· Experience using a data quality tool - Oracle EDQ, Datanomic, DataFlux or Informatica DQ - for developing reporting and profiling data
· Experience using a reporting platform - OBIEE or Business Objects
· Excellent IT skills - particularly MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio - with the ability to learn new systems.
· Experience with metadata management, master data management, information lifecycle management and data warehouses
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Capable of working with people at all levels within all areas, internal and external, to the business
· Exposure to Basel II and Siebel will be preferred
