IT Security Manager - Birmingham/Nottingham - £35-£45k. One of the major consultancies is looking for an Information Security specialist to join them at Manager level. Joining an IT Risk Assurance practice, you will have in-depth knowledge of Information Security and IT Infrastructure. You will be educated to degree level and have experience in industry.
Previous consulting experience will be advantageous, but if you have the necessary soft skills, and a drive to develop yourself, then I would like to hear from you. You will be self-confident, be an excellent communicator, set high standards, be a strong relationship builder, produce detailed documentation and have experience managing a team or mentoring others.
You will also need to be flexible; while the bulk of the work will be Midlands-based, there will be some travel nationally and possibly internationally. Your technical skills will need to be strong in the following areas; firewalls, networks, operating systems and security tools. You security knowledge will include policies, governance and standards such as ISO27001. You will also have a general grounding in IT operations and service delivery.
