The role as Senior HR Business Partner is an exciting challenge to play a fundamental part in the future development and on-going success of this established, specialist service business. Your ability to effectively ';Business Partner’ Directors and Heads of Departments, will be key to fully understanding business needs therefore ensuring the close alignment of the business and HR strategy. Leading a small team responsible for a full generalist service, you will adopt a flexible and ';can do’ approach, operating at both strategic and operational levels to meet business requirements , drive Company Values and influence change
Examples of Responsibilities
* Work closely with the HR on the development and implementation of effective HR and people strategies in order to meet business objectives and maximise productivity, people and business performance
* Take responsibility for the quality of HR and payroll service through the effective supervision and leadership of a small HR team
* Consistently review and develop effective HR policy and practice to reflect changes in Employment Legislation, compliance standards and business needs.
* Work with the Head of Talent & Development to understand and fully imbed effective leadership development practice and drive forward talent management initiatives
* Work with HR peers to drive strong Internal Communications and enhance Employee Engagement
* Champion and imbed new performance management processes, up-skilling managers in the application and driving a high performance culture
* Manage business, cultural and organisational change initiatives to include organisation design and restructure where appropriate
* Lead on the development and on-going management of HR metrics and reporting processes, ensuring maximum service levels and return on investment
* Take responsibility for a positive Employee Relations climate, with a hands on approach to management of more complex and high risk cases
* ';Act up’ to cover the HR Director where appropriate
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Significant experience in a similar roles with evidence of further developing a HR Business Partner service
* Proven track record of working with diverse and specialist client groups
* Demonstrable experience of leading on and influencing change up to and including Director level.
* Consultancy approach with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with the business and add value to the bottom line
* High degree of knowledge of Employment Legislations
* Experience of leading small teams
* CIPD qualified and of Degree calibre or equivalent qualification
