Operations Manager (Microsoft/ .NET) -ITIL - Our client, one of the world’s leading global media investment management companies is currently seeking a Microsoft/.NET Operations Manager to join and manage provision of an operational support service for all production applications supported by the team. This includes responsibility for incident management, problem management and change management. The applications may be custom built or package solutions developed in house or through external teams.
The ideal candidate will have…
*Experience of developing/maintaining applications developed in a Microsoft/ .Net/SQL Server environment.
*Experience of operational management of software products.
*Full system development lifecycle experience.
*Experience of working with internal functions including service desk, database administrators, infrastructure and networking teams.
*Experience of managing vendors either for packaged products or custom software development.
*Experience of managing near shore/offshore vendors.
*Knowledge/Certification in ITIL to at least to foundation level and ideally additional modules relevant to the delivery of an application support service.
*Experience of working in an IT Service management capacity.
*Relevant qualifications in service delivery such as ITIL Foundation level or ITIL Application Management.
*Experience of managing suppliers in outsourcing contracts
*Proven people management skills.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a particular talent for engaging with clients at all levels.
*Work outside normal office hours as required
*Media industry experience preferable.
*Experience of working in an agile/scrum development environment.
*Experience of use of Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation Server).
