Our client is currently looking for a Trading Platform Engineer to join their team in central Birmingham. You will be managing internally developed software platforms as well as 3rd party vendor softwares. The candidate will be responsible for outage management and troubleshooting including escalation when necessary to specialist teams. If any issues are found then it will be in your remit to carry out root cause analysis, identify the bugs and creating reports to show the stability of the environment to the senior management.
The candidate will ideally have:
·Extensive knowledge of Windows Server Platform
·Extensive knowledge of UNIX/ Linux Server platforms
·Solid understanding of networking- DMZ's, Unicast/Multicast
·Release and deployment project background
·Any previous experience of working within a heavily regulated environment would be beneficial.
Salary is £40,000- £50,000 + great benefits depending on experienceImage may be NSFW.
