Operations Monitoring Service Owner

Our high profile Oil and Gas client is looking for a Monitoring Service Owner to join their team on a temporary basis to manage all business as usual aspects of the Monitoring service through execution of the associated processes; Event Management and Capacity Management as well as management of the team providing operational monitoring of Business and IT service availability. The initial focus of this role is to formally establish the Capacity Management Service and ensure that the application and IT service owners are following the standard for Capacity Management.

· IT Service Delivery experience with a major part of this experience in IT Operational Management.
· Experience in a dynamic and complex Operational environment managing or supporting monitoring, event management & service delivery activity.
· Strong influencing and negotiating skills to support the above; this includes being a point of escalation for process issues.
· Good Collaboration skills as the leader of the monitoring team, a member of the Service Management team, a contributor to the Service Management Leadership Team and also the wider GOI and IT&S teams.
· Work closely with the other SMC Service Managers to ensure an holistic service management practice.
· Proven commitment to IT Service Management best practices, especially Event and Capacity Management.
· Minimum Practitioner qualifications in ITIL Service Operation.
· Expert qualification in ITIL V3
