SharePoint Administrator / Development and Support

Our client, one of the world’s leading international Not-For-Profit organisations, is currently seeking an experienced SharePoint Applications Analyst & Support Specialist to join their team based at there fantastic, award winning offices in the heart of Londons West End.

The role - Provide support, training, and application development for the companies extranet and other SharePoint applications on a global scale. Ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the systems and the integrity of the data they contain. Assist in conceptualisation and implementation of enhancement requests to ensure SCI's collaborative applications meet user requirements. Contribute to optimising application performance and functionality. Determine application linkages to avoid duplication of work.

Qualifications and experience
* Strong web/collaborative development and support experience required
* Strong experience with SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010 required (i.e. experience and knowledge of key SharePoint functional abilities such as sites, communities, content editing, search, term sets, my sites, etc.)
* Use of SharePoint Designer and InfoPath to create and rapidly deploy business solutions
* Excellent knowledge of Active Directory and DNS
* Good experience with collaborative/training applications such as WebEx and Lync
* Knowledge of relational databases (eg. MS SQL server)
* Experience with webpage editors (eg. Dreamweaver)
* Cultural awareness and experience of delivering global web solutions that cater for local needs (eg. area with poor bandwidth, multiple character sets, etc.)
* Good communication skills (written & oral English), including the ability to communicate and present both at a technical and non-technical level
* Able to demonstrate instances of initiative that have delivered organisational benefits
* Outstanding customer service orientation and follow-up skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to work independently without direct supervision
* Ability to learn new web/collaborative systems and applications quickly
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Understanding of basic networking / infrastructure knowledge
* Experience with Microsoft IIS and/or Apache
* The right to work in the UK

Desirable:
* Experience in organisations with overseas activities
* Non-profit sector knowledge/experience
* Experience with administration of Office365
* Programming knowledge in diverse applications/languages
* The ability to converse in languages other than English
* Auditing skills/experience
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies, in particular Scrum
* Administrator level knowledge of Jira
* SharePoint 2013 experience
* Experience in working with offshore project team members
* Experience in SharePoint application development on the .net platform (C#) including the use of HTML, CSS and javascript
* Understanding/experience in SharePoint PowerShell cmdlets.
