Oracle Developer

The Oracle SOA Middleware Lead Developer will work as part of this clients newly formed team. The role is to design, develop, maintain and provide 3rd line support for all Oracle SOA Middleware systems that are an integral and essential part of their IT systems. This will involve working within an agile environment assisting the scrum teams to provide integrated, reusable SOA services that will form a significant part of the software solution.

Responsibilities
1. Assisting in the transforming of its software solutions to adapt SOA patterns as defined by Architect (e.g. training / mentoring other developers)
2. Technical lead on developing SOA services as defined by Technical Architects on a contract first basis - Exposing and orchestrating web services through SOA with the development of SOA composites, BPEL processes and Oracle Service Bus configurations
3. Unit testing SOA services and utilising the SOA suite test framework to produce automate testing of SOA services
4. Writing deployment scripts
5. Advising development teams on use of SOA and help in maintaining a service repository
6. Debugging and error investigation of failed processes

Technical Skills
A general level of IT Developer competency and experience is essential but the following SOA skills are a must:
1. Oracle 11g SOA Suite 11.1.3 - PS5;
- Building and testing SOA composites and BPEL processes with and using SCA components such as Mediators, Database Adapters, Business Rules Engine and Human Tasks Workflow
- Building and configuring services with Oracle Service Bus 11gR1
2. Demonstrable experience of JDeveloper IDE (mainly used for Composites and BPEL)
3. Demonstrable experience of Eclipse IDE (mainly used for OSB)
4. Demonstrable understanding of XML and XSD
5. Demonstrable understanding of XQuery and XPath expressions
6. Demonstrable experience of web service technologies and concepts (WSDL, REST, SOAP)
7. Understanding of ANT scripts
8. Use of TFS for source control, deployment and automatic testing of SOA services
9. Working knowledge of .NET technologies (C#, WCF, MVC)
10. Web service security knowledge (WebS_*)
11. Fusions middleware suite & SOA suite integration
12. Web 2.0 Technologies & Messaging Services
13. Understanding of modelling (UML)
14. Appreciation of Enterprise Architecture
