Junior Web Analyst - Canary Wharf
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Junior Web Analyst to join their team on a 6 month contract in Canary Wharf.
The Junior Web and Reporting Analyst contract role will be responsible for the design, collation and production of insightful digital measurement, business information and analytic reporting.
You’ll provide accessible and actionable analytics and reports to internal stakeholders to enable continuous improvement of the digital channel experience.
Working alongside the Digital Insights Consultant, you will provide best practice guidance and assistance to ensure visibility through search is optimised and that industry changes in SEO are communicated to the key stakeholder groups.
Your experience of industry technologies should include using Google Analytics, and experience of
Unica, site search and other measurement tools is desirable.
Specifically we have a large number of sites which require to be set up using Google Analytics
(Premium) and a migration away from Unica.

Digital Platforms & Tools manages all activity related to the provision of digital communications services and platforms and is responsible for driving channel strategy and vision. The team is the organisations internal digital agency, comprising of channel expertise, creative, product development and technology service management. Experience
* Responsible for delivery of value metrics and analysis to web editorial and site owner
communities
* Provision and delivery of analytical insight to key stakeholders and ensure that the use of data and web analytics is optimised within the business
* Analyse web data to suggest improvements to the digital channel experience
* Production and analysis of regular and ad-hoc management information
* Understand reader behaviours’ and segments to drive value from this insight
* Design and implement search strategies
* Champion the use of web analytics techniques and data within Digital Platforms
* Ensure that the company remains abreast of any industry updates in regards to SEO and data analysis
Educational background
* Degree level and / or professional qualification in appropriate discipline
* Knowledge of Google analytics, 2-3 years’ experience working in online marketing (or
comms) and knowledge of CMS are all essential
Required
* Extensive experience in the use of Digital/Web Analytics toolsets (e.g. Google Analytics,
Unica, SiteCatalyst™ etc)
* Online tagging and implementation experience
* Experience of SEO implementation and best practice
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in written and verbal form to technical and editorial audiences at all levels
* Possesses excellent collaborative problem solving skills
* Maintains an expert knowledge of developments in their area, and translates best practice into appropriate standards
Desired
* Advanced Excel skills including use of Pivot Tables and Macros
* Knowledge of email marketing systems and industry metrics
* Experience with data mining techniques, statistical research techniques as well as an understanding of databases and data protection legislation.
