SAP Integration Specialist - SAP, Basis, Applications, Integration, ITIL, Infrastructure
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Technical Integration Analyst with experience of SAP systems, to join their team in Uxbridge.
Required to integrate the Infrastructure and Application delivery requirements of the SAP Operations portfolio (both SAP and non-SAP systems) and coordinate the technical delivery of the end-to-end team.
ROLE
This role reports to the Technical Integration Manager and will focus on integrating both application (Basis) and infrastructure (Operating System, Hardware and Storage) services which support the overall end-to-end service
* Responsible for Project Management planning, tracking and updating tasks including control, delivery and financial tracking - e.g. forecast and actual spend
* Responsible for the creation and publication of Management and Project reports
* Assist in the successful delivery of technical remediation projects - e.g. SAP Stabilisation
* Manage and coordinate the implementation activities and technical dependencies, including system housekeeping, system maintenance, cluster remediation and other initiatives
* Support an on-going programme of end-to-end technical risk identification (via health-checks) and remediation, ensuring that the delivery of fixes is aligned to overall system availability plans and central priorities
* Ensure that learning’s from Problem Management are incorporated into Application Owners’ Service Improvement Plans, where relevant
* Support the development of a series of Certified Builds and Heat Maps across the SAP Operations estate and making sure that these are kept accurate and up to date, obtaining re-certification as appropriate
* Assist in making sure that the maintenance strategies for SAP infrastructure and SAP applications are consistent, coordinated and complete, sufficient to mitigate and control risk and delivers the expected levels of availability and supportability of systems
* Assist in the end-to-end delivery of proactive detection and diagnostic services, to ensure that issues are anticipated, identified and fixed before they impact system availability or cause high priority incidents
* Working with ES Operational Planning and Programmes of Work to ensure that B&SS has a detailed view of upcoming demand and the impact it will have upon our production systems.
* Contribute to and provide input for regular supplier performance reviews
* Must have experience in identifying risk and understanding technical dependencies within complex production SAP landscapes.
* Can demonstrate application operations experience and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities presented in delivering services in a global multi-instance SAP environment with outsourced support vendors.
* Project Management and/or PMO experience, including all aspects of process development and execution.
* Must be able to work effectively with a high number of stakeholders.
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
* ITIL foundation qualification.
